Barry's pride themselves on the consistently high quality of their tea. They send out tea buyers to tea growing gardens all over the world with the sole purpose of finding only the finest teas. Once found, these tea leaves can then be processed and integrated into their different blends of tea.

Experience

Barry's Tea is a family owned company who have been blending the finest Irish teas since their J. J. Barrys opened his tea shop in Cork town center in 1901. Over one hundred years later the company still produces tea of only the highest quality. Barry's Tea has now become recognized, not only in Ireland, but internationally as a top quality blend.

Taste Testing

Barry's testers travel the world searching for the finest tea leaves. They regularly visit the tea gardens they source from and collate information and samples. These are then sent back for further tasting in Ireland, and if the tea leaves make the grade they can be introduced to one of the blends.

Tea Blends

Barry's Tea is blended from a combination of teas from around the world, but mainly from gardens in Africa and India. Tea leaves from Africa are preferred because these lush gardens grow year round, which means consistently high quality. African tea also has a rich golden colour which fits in great with the Gold Blend of Barry's tea.
